Examinations, detailed training await inspector candidates

Port inspectors must distinguish a fake visa from the genuine item in a short period of time as passengers transit exit-entry inspection. Ji Lixia, assistant head of the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, detailed the steps needed to become an inspector at ports of exit and entry:

1. Applicants must be university graduates and pass the Chinese civil servant examination and an interview.

2. The selected applicants will receive three months of training, mostly between July and October, before starting work.
