Building explosion kills 2, injures 8

An explosion at a residential building in Beijing early on Friday killed two and injured eight other people.

The cause of the explosion was under investigation, but residents suspected it was related to a hydrogen tank used by a hardware store adjacent to a bottom-floor apartment.

Authorities have provided shelter for a dozen households living in the damaged building.
