Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admitted he was as shocked as anyone after his team squandered a commanding lead in a remarkable 5-3 loss to Leicester City on Sunday.

United seemed all set for a first competitive road win under Dutch boss van Gaal after goals from Robin van Persie, Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera built a 3-1 lead at King Power Stadium with just over half an hour to play.
