Language festival broadens student horizons

Most college students count their campus life by the number of years completed, but Guan Siyuan records his through the number of English cultural festivals staged.

The annual activity is held at the School of English and International Studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University, where Guan is an undergraduate.

As a former president of the school's student union, the 21-year-old says of the English Cultural Week, "It is a legacy at the university. I enjoy the festival and enjoy running it."
