At an ongoing business fair in Guangzhou, small-and medium-sized enterprises in China have been urged to ship advanced products and technology overseas while strengthening cooperation with foreign counterparts to increase competitiveness in the global market.

Chen Dongqi, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission's macroeconomic research institute, said more advanced products will be shipped overseas as Chinese companies see the great importance of increasing competitiveness in the global market and invest more in R&D.

Among the advanced products are high-speed trains, information technology and smart air conditioners, said Chen.
