12 wounded in Palestinian knife attack on Tel Aviv bus

A Palestinian man stabbed passengers, wounding at least 12 people on a bus in central Tel Aviv before he was chased down, shot and arrested, Israeli police said on Wednesday, describing the assault as a "terror attack".

It was the first attack in Tel Aviv since mid-November when a young Israeli soldier was stabbed to death by a Palestinian.

Hamas, the militant Islamic group, praised the stabbing.
