Proposals focus on economy, reform
China's top political advisers finished their annual gathering in Beijing on Friday and submitted over 5,857 proposals to the central government to improve economic development, governance and people's livelihood.
A total of 1,948 members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference submitted proposals, which accounted for 87.5 percent of the total number.
The proposals have focused on themes including deepening reform and ruling the nation by law, as well as protecting and improving people's interests and livelihood, a report issued by the proposal committee under the CPPCC National Committee said on Friday, as the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC closed its third plenary session.
