Category 5 cyclone leaves devastation in Vanuatu
Aid teams reach South Pacific island country to find widespread destruction; 10 confirmed dead
The president of Vanuatu said on Sunday that he feared the impact from a devastating tropical storm will be "the very, very, very worst" in isolated outer islands, but damage was still being assessed.
With winds of more than 300 km/h, Cyclone Pam razed homes, smashed boats and washed away roads and bridges as it struck the South Pacific island country late on Friday and into Saturday. Aid workers described the situation as catastrophic.
