Initiative from Coca-Cola brings drinking water to rural schools

To celebrate this year's World Water Day kicked of on March 22, Coca-Cola China and the One Foundation announced they will strengthen their initiative to improve drinking water in rural schools.

The joint project began in 2012, responding to the 12th Five-Year Plan for Rural Water Safety by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Water Resources and other ministries.

According to statistics released with the plan, 114,000 rural schools in China then faced a shortage of safe drinking water.
