Young hands drive surge in overseas travel

About 174m people are expected to undertake annual outbound trips within the next 4 years

The number of Chinese traveling overseas each year is predicted to reach 174 million within the next four years, and they will be spending $264 billion while doing it, or roughly the gross domestic product of Singapore, according to a new industry survey.

The Chinese International Travel Monitor, released by Hotels.com LP, said last year more than 107 million Chinese made outbound trips, a 20 percent rise on 2013.
