On June 17, Si Hongjun, a veteran tenor with the Chinese People's Armed Police Force Male Chorus and Orchestra, was assigned to a special job.

He was to train 600 male students from schools affiliated with the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Armament Department and to transform them into the best chorus in the world.

With an average age of 21, they were part of the 1,200 members of the PLA chorus that performed on Thursday morning along with the PLA Symphony Orchestra during the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
