Airline to cooperate with tax refunds
Air China, the nation's flagship carrier, will cooperate with tax authorities in Beijing to promote a tax refund program for overseas tourists to the capital, a company manager said on Wednesday.
He Zhigang, general manager of Air China's marketing department, told reporters at a news conference in Beijing that more than 18,000 domestic and international Air China flights will soon start broadcasting an introductory video about Beijing's tax refund program that began on July 1.
"We estimate millions of foreign tourists to Beijing will be exposed to the video each month as we are the country's biggest carrier of inbound tourists," he added. "Moreover, we will show the video in 19 languages on our websites and place promotional posters and distribute brochures at our ticket offices in more than 60 overseas cities."
