The new BMW 7 Series features the following amenities that push the series to the front of the premium car segment.
Remote control parking
With this feature, the new BMW 7 Series becomes the first car in the premium segment that can be parked with a remote control.
The remote control allows the driver to simply exit the car and maneuver it into narrow spaces or into a garage.
With the BMW display key, the engine can be started or stopped and the vehicle can be unlocked or locked.
Touch command
This feature includes a tablet integrated into the rear of the center armrest that is networked with the vehicle's control systems. It enables the configuration and operation of a wide range of functions in the car.
The tablet can be used to adjust the rear and passenger seats, air-conditioning, ventilation and seat heating for the rear seats as well as the interior ambient light, glass-roof roller sun blinds and side window sun blinds. The tablet also lets the driver access entertainment features and the navigation system.

The new BMW 7 Series is the first car that allows you to activate and control predefined functions using hand gestures, such as swiping and pointing.
The system recognizes the gestures and links them to certain operating functions such as controlling the volume or accepting and declining incoming telephone calls.
Carbon core
The body of the new BMW 7 Series was designed with a simple principle in mind: The right material in the right place. To this end, the steel, aluminum, plastics and carbon fiber at the heart of the series' carbon core set a new benchmark in lightweight design, significantly improves driving dynamics and reduces fuel consumption.
Laserlight
The BMW Laserlight is a technological innovation first equipped in the BMW i8. It has a range of up to 600 meters when the high beams are deployed, almost twice that of conventional headlights. However, due to Chinese regulations, it has been tuned to 475 meters.
The BMW new 7 series is the first model in the segment that is equipped with the intelligent laser light.
Panorama glass roof sky lounge
In the new BMW 7 Series, the sky lounge allows the interior to be flooded with light by day and produces a unique and luxurious ambience by night with illumination effects on its large glass panels.
These lights provide an extraordinary atmosphere due to the panel's exclusive pattern, which consists of over 15,000 engraved elements that become gently illuminated in six different colors.
Welcome light carpet
In another first, the welcome light carpet illuminates the area around the vehicle door as guests step in or out, creating an elegant and unique sort of welcome.
LED projectors tucked away under the side skirts cloak the ground in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle in a pattern of white light, receiving guests with a very special mise-en-scne. The light also helps pick out puddles or hazards in the dark.
