Becoming a millionaire in 90 minutes
Nigel Botterill is a British entrepreneur who has built from scratch eight different business turnovers worth more than 1 million pounds ($1.6 million) each within a span of eight years. Before he made the switch to become an entrepreneur, he was already earning a six-figure salary with chunky bonuses.
People around him thought he was insane to leave behind such a blessed corporate life. In 2003, despite what others think, he went to chase the 'dream' to start his own consultancy business.
Nigel recalls his time during the first three months was mostly being consumed by the 'busyness' of the day-to-day chores such as doing work for clients, handling some inbound calls, opening the mail, going to the bank and processing invoices. Although he has planned on making $100,000 in the first year, he hadn't had any time to do the single most important thing for his business to be successful: getting and keeping customers. Realizing he was going off-track and with the help of his mentor, Martin Howey, he cultivated a new habit - one which stayed with him ever since.
