Stocks recoup losses as fears abate
Market bounces back as regulator tightens its controls on share sales by top investors
Equities rebounded on Thursday after the capital market regulator attempted to reassure investors by tightening controls over share sales by major shareholders of listed companies.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose by 1.97 percent to close at 3,007.65 points, recouping a loss of as much as 2.6 percent during morning trading.
