Xi calls for modern logistics to ensure army can win wars

President Xi Jinping has called for an honest, modern logistical support force for the army that can win modern wars.

A must for a powerful country and army, a strong support force is a critical element that can decide the results of modern wars, said Xi, also chairman of the Central Military Commission. He was speaking at a logistics work conference of the People's Liberation Army.

Xi's remarks were made public after the two-day conference ended on Thursday.
