A recent exhibition titled Chinese Ancient Inventions presents 312 cultural relics that reflect the most significant Chinese ancient inventions in terms of liquor, tea, bronze mirrors and lacquer ware, at Zhejiang Provincial Museum.
Among the exhibited cultural relics, 189 are borrowed from 55 museums and archaeological institutes in other provinces. Audiences have been wowed by the excellent design and exquisite craftsmanship of ancient times.
The exhibition is the second periodical summary of the "Compass Project" launched by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. The first one was held in Beijing during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which featured China's achievements in silk weaving and dyeing, bronze casting, ceramics making, papermaking and printing.
