MTV Breaks, a new international campaign launched by MTV on Aug 23, will offer fans worldwide a chance to start their own creative careers.

Starting with the 2014 MTV EMA (Europe Music Awards) in Glasgow on Nov 9, the campaign will offer life-changing opportunities to those working in photography, costume design and camera operation.

People aged from 18 to 26 can apply for selection by posting an image or video to social networking service Instagram, tagged MTV Breaks. The deadline for entries is Sept 19.

Candidates selected will be mentored at the show by industry experts and their work will feature on MTV channels.

"Young people around the world are increasingly concerned about their futures, which is why we're making youth employment a focus of our pro-social strategy," said Georgia Arnold, senior vice- president of Viacom International Media Networks, which owns MTV.

"MTV is uniquely well-positioned to help unlock the passion and creativity of its audience by providing an amazing platform for their talents and connecting them with some of the best available expertise from across the creative industries."
