Enthusiasts snap up Year of the Sheep stamps

A post office employee shows a set of Yiwei Year special stamps for the Year of the Sheep in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Jan 5, 2015. China Post issued the Lunar New Year special stamp on Monday. It has a face value of 1.2 yuan. The image on it is of a sheep, with its horns decorated with flower patterns and its body ornamented with peony, lotus and propitious clouds. The whole design embodies the allegory of auspiciousness, prosperity and eternal happiness, which symbolize the best wishes for the upcoming New Year. The Chinese Year of the Sheep, or the lunar Yiwei Year, will begin on Feb 19 this year. [Photo/Xinhua]
