During the awards ceremony, the 2015 rotating presidency of the selection committee Zhu Qingsheng, director of visual and image research center in Beijing University, assured that the committee paid attention to and made monthly reports on Chinese contemporary art.
“Awarding prizes is not the main purpose of our selection. When we see the name-list after the preliminary selection, I think every one of them is qualified to win the prize,” he said.
