A series of special stamps honoring Bao Zheng, a household name in China, were issued on August 8.
Bao Zheng (999-1062), an upright official during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), was known for stressing the dignity of the law. His deeds were recorded and celebrated by people through the generations and his life story has been depicted in many TV series and films.
The new postage package has three styles of stamps, with two regular-sized and one in a smaller design.The total cost is 8.4 yuan ($ 1.30 ). Stamp sales are hot and are enjoying great popularity with the public. Derivative products, such as postcards and stamp albums, are also on sale.
