Chinese folk singer-songwriter Cao Fang recently released her new album, Wanderlust, which will be followed by a national tour that begins on Nov 14 from Beijing. The album, which has 11 songs, is largely about her return to hometown Xishuangbanna in Southwest China's Yunnan province. The numbers, including Glacier and Seagull, deal with human relations.

Cao left home at age 14 to study in Kunming, the provincial capital, and came to Beijing at 18 to launch a career in music. In the recent past, she has started to live in Xishuangbanna again, making her review her life outside and inspired her to create the album.

Among the country's most popular female folk singers, Cao is known to her fans for her ballads. She released her first album Meet Me in 2005, when he was 23 years old.

Besides Beijing, she will hold concerts for her latest album in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen through the end of the year.
