China claims world record for largest human organ image

The world's largest image of human organ was staged in Beijing on Sunday, breaking the Guinness record with more than 1,500 participating in the oversized lung image.

The event was held in Fengtai Garden Expo Park to raise people's awareness of healthy lungs. Most participants were college students and members of non-profit organizations. The official Guinness certificate was issued on the scene.

The move made quite a stir among the public. Some say that it’s a creative way to draw people's attention to health issues, while others think that it’s unhealthy for the thousands of volunteers to take part in such an outdoor event on a smoggy day.
