Foreign ballet troupes light up Beijing stage

It was one of the benefit performances for ordinary Beijing locals. Forty percent of the tickets were sold with a special discount. The sponsors also sent several tickets to people with low income or with physical disability. To most of the audience, it was their first time in life to enjoy a high level ballet performance.

Guy Saint-Jacques, Ambassador of Canada, delivered a speech before the performance, and watched the show with interest. He emphasized that there would be more cooperation in the field of arts and culture between Canada and China in the future.
