Mongolian folk music

Chiborag, one of the most famous players of morin khuur, or horse-head fiddle, will stage a show in Beijing with the authentic sounds of the Mongolian ethnic group. The 71-year-old will perform 10 works he's composed during the past few decades, including Ode to the Old Altay Mountain and Thousands of Horses Galloping.

Night of Rachmaninoff

The Mariinsky Orchestra, one of the oldest symphony orchestras in Russia, will come to Beijing for two nights of works by Rachmaninoff, including Piano Concerto No 4 in G Minor, Op 40, Symphony No 2 in E Minor, Op 27 and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op 43. Under the baton of Valery Gergiev, four award-winning pianists, including Daniel Kharitonov and Lucas Debargue, will join in the performance.

Giselle onstage

The National Ballet of China will stage Giselle as the closing performance of the National Center for the Performing Arts' Dance Festival of 2015. Accompanied by the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra, three dancers of the company-Wang Qimin, Cao Shuci and Wang Ye-will play the role of Giselle in the two-act romantic ballet.
