The championship is the city's first international dance sport competition. It aims at spreading the culture of ballroom dance, expanding international cultural exchanges and enriching Tianjin locals’ spare-time activities.
At Saturday's opening ceremony, representatives from different countries brought excellent performances to the audience. Among them, a performance by Beijing Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe won the warmest applause.
