Sri Lanka celebrates Chinese New Year

A "Happy Chinese New Year" gala was held in Colombo in Sri Lanka on Jan 30. Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Yi Xianliang, Sri Lanka's China Cultural Center Director Le Liwen and President Ananda Goonatilleke of the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association were present. About 200 officials, representatives and students from Sri Lankan institutions and colleges attended.

Yi expressed his best New Year's wishes to overseas Chinese and Sri Lankans and gave a retrospect of the development of relations between the two nations in 2015.
