Chinese Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, the most important celebration in Chinese culture, is now going global, as a growing number of countries join in the festivities and share the new year joy in varied ways.
"Happy Chinese New Year" celebrated around the world
"Happy Chinese New Year", a project organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture that provides a platform for cultural exchanges, has been well received globally, with more than 2,100 cultural activities being been held in over 400 cities across 140 countries.
"Chinese Lunar New Year is becoming an international festival that bridges Chinese and other people worldwide," said Ding Wei, vice-minister of the Ministry of Culture.
