Tourists toss coins at ruins of Leifeng Pagoda

Visitors toss coins and notes at the site of the underground palace of Leifeng Pagoda, a popular tourist attraction in Hangzhou, the capital of East China's Zhejiang province. Coins and cash, ranging from 50 cents to 100 yuan are piling up at the foot of the site, despite a sign on the glass wall in eight large Chinese characters warning "Do not throw anything to protect the heritage".
