China's Internet Industry Yearbook 2016 was published by Analysys, a domestic internet research firm, in Beijing earlier this month, offering analyses on different aspects of the booming industry from big data gathered online and offline.

The book is divided into six parts, including analyses of national policies, regional development, market research of different sectors and mobile internet applications.

The development of niche markets such as internet finance, internet healthcare, internet games and smart devices are presented in the book.

"Internet connections have become infrastructure, linking needs and demands between different industries, and will finally change every business," writes Yu Yang, the founder of Analysys and the editor of the book, in the preface titled Data Is the New Energy.

The company has been publishing yearbooks on the internet industry since 2014.
