Artworks recall struggles of Red Army in Long March

Eighty years on, the epic Long March still stirs people's hearts. The military retreat was conducted by the Communist Party of China from 1934-36.

Now artist Zhang Lujiang - a professor at Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Arts - and a team of young teachers and students have brought back the old memories in an oil painting exhibition, Red Army's Recipes. The exhibition is the latest of several shows since last year to mark the 80th anniversary of the completion of the Long March. Click here to learn more.
