Beijing Symphony Orchestra's New Year concert
A special orchestra concert tailored for the New Year will be staged by the Beijing Symphony Orchestra (BSO) this weekend.
The concert combines traditional Chinese and Western melodies, featuring classics like The Sun Comes out with Jubilance, Tales from the Vienna Woods and The Blue Danube.
Praised as "the orchestral pearl of the capital of China", the BSO was established in 1977, and has become a focal point of musical art, performance and culture in China today.
