An exhibition, titled "Feng Hai's World", was held at the Academy of Art and Design's Visual Art Center of Tsinghua University, on March 25.
The event features four series of themed photos by photographer Feng Hai, including "Mask", a monochromatic series and another highlighting opera performers and celebrities. Videos filmed by the photographer are also shown in the exhibit.
The black and white series features a range of naked models wearing only masks to hide individual identity.
Exhibition curator Su Dan said the mask symbolized spirit and character, which also placed emphasis on the person's body in each picture.
"Only when the photographer is moved by the view, or the people before their eyes, can he or she capture something other people fail to notice," Su said. "The whole process should be real and sincere."
Feng further displayed five videos, filmed in the past 10 years, and said he did not have any specific aim when shooting.
"I just film things I have in my mind and bring them out this way," he said.
The exhibition will run until April 4.
