Hubei's Jingzhou rolls out big media event to explore ancient Chu culture

A nearly week-long event dubbed "Exploring the ancient Chu culture" for online media professionals kicked off in Jingzhou, a historical city in Central China's Hubei province, on Aug 9, 2017.

The six-day event, hosted by the Publicity Department of Jingzhou Municipal Committee, will bring together internet journalists from dozens of major news websites and new media.

They will explore the natural and cultural resources in Jingzhou region, including main urban area Jingzhou, Songzi, Shishou, and Honghu.

Jingzhou city, with a history of more than 2,600 years, is the birthplace of ancient Chu culture and center of the Three Kingdoms culture.
