TV series focuses on stress caused by 'gaokao'

A 48-episode TV series on the stress caused by gaokao, or the national college entrance exams, will run on Beijing Satellite TV from Aug 15.
My Father Is Wonderful, starring veteran actor Han Tongsheng as the main character, looks at the life of a four-member family.
While the father believes that a high score in the exam is the only way to guarantee a successful career, the son and daughter want to chase their own dreams.
The TV drama, penned by Wang Yue and directed by Liu Biao, also features veteran actress Tao Huimin, actor Jing Chao and actress Zhang Jianing.
Speaking about the project, director Liu says: "It's a story about rebellious teenagers and their parents."
