'Full House' tops drama ratings

TV drama Full House, a series reflecting the transformation of local Beijing life between the 1960s and the 1990s, has recently topped the ratings in 52 Chinese cities, according to leading television and broadcasting tracker CSM Media Research.
Directed by Liu Jiacheng, the 47-episode series has also been released online, and has so far been watched more than 120 million times on the popular video-streaming site iQiyi.
Thanks to emotional performances by veteran artists like He Bing, Hao Lei and Li Guangfu, the TV series was awarded a rating of 8.9 out of 10 points by film and TV review platform Douban.com.
Centering on a chef played by He, the story chronicles the life of several families, who live around the same courtyard.
