Travelers headed to Beijing Capital Airport can take a detour to enjoy the art gallery of the nearby Langham Place hotel.
The hotel is staging the summer-long exhibition Childhood and Dialogue, featuring works by five contemporary Chinese artists of different backgrounds.
Guo Tailai reinterprets traditional ink painting with cartoon-like styles and vivid colors.
Tang Zhigang renders big bosses as babies. Shen Shubin infuses his oil paintings with an air of magic. Xie Ke explores interactions between Chinese and Western cultures (pictured below). And Yang Tao talks about gender.
The hotel also owns more than 400 artworks, which are displayed around the premise. Visitors can view these when they're done with the exhibition.
Daily until Aug 25. Art gallery of Langham Place, 1 Erjinglu, Terminal 3 Capital International Airport, Beijing. 010-6457-5555.
