French artist Georges Braque's Cubist works will be displayed in Beijing in September, marking the first time for the influential artist's works to be displayed in the country.
An exhibition of the works, co-sponsored by the Center for International Cultural Exchanges affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and the French company DSTAR, will bring more than 200 of Braque's works, including sculptures and watercolors, to Chinese viewers.
Braque was a 20th-century painter and sculptor who helped create the Cubist art style alongside Pablo Picasso.
The exhibition will first be held at the Beijing Imperial City Art Museum from September 19 to November 17. The exhibition will then be held from November 23 to December 20 at the Nanjing University of the Arts.
