Light shows

The 24th annual edition of the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest promises to be a spectacle of avant-garde pyrotechnics spread over four consecutive Saturdays and culminating on National Day. This year, 10 international teams including veterans such as China's Panda Fireworks and South Korea's Woori Fireworks join competition newcomers Orzella Fireworks from Italy and Lacroix-Ruggieri from France. There will also be a fireworks carnival and student contests open to young people who capture the colorful light shows through drawing or photographs.
