Four artists who are descendents of celebrated Chinese painter and seal engraver Qi Baishi (1864-1957) joined hands with Hunan province-based Qi Baishi Memorial Hall to release their co-created work, a five meter scroll painting, in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing recently to commemorate the 148th anniversary of the master's birthday.

These four are currently among the most prestigious who inherited Qi's unique painting style. The scroll includes painting, calligraphy and collection of seals that won unanimously high appraisal by the 300-odd critics and collectors attending the ceremony.

The artists also donated some of Qi's works and personal belongings to display at the Qi Baishi Memorial Hall until the 150th anniversary of Qi's birthday.
