Art biennale in Italy

The first Italy-China Biennale of Contemporary Art is being held until Dec 16 at Monza in suburban Milan, in Italy.

The largest exhibition of its kind, it encompasses works by 120 vanguard artists from China and Italy.

Their latest creations range from drawings to paintings, sculptures, photographs and video works.

The event surrounds the theme on how mankind has been affected through urbanization, pollution and exploitation of resources as well as the consequences of human activities.

The nonprofit art project is initiated by art organizations including the Being 3 Gallery in Beijing's 798 Art Zone and the Aikal Gallery in Monza "to create comparisons and dialogues between different cultures".
