Oil paintings depict China's most inspiring role models

More than 100 oil paintings of people's portraits are showcased at the Art Gallery at the 523 Art Zone in Hai'an, Nantong city, East China's Jiangsu province, depicting China's most inspiring role models. They were created by both professional and amateur painters.
The paintings portray those who have won Touching China awards, a program presented by China Central Television. The annual program honors people who made outstanding contributions to social progress and development in all walks of life, including academics, doctors, village officials and railway workers.
