The first promotion meeting to discuss Hunan's high-quality agricultural products was held at the Hunan Provincial Exhibition Hall from Dec 21-27, 2011.
With the theme of "Brilliant agricultural brands bring you quality life", the meeting, after 18 months of preparatory work, served as a promotion platform for manufacturing and processing enterprises involved in agricultural products. The meeting also provided an opportunity for visitors to shop, indulge in leisure and consume.
The release conference of "Hunan's top hundred agricultural brands" was scheduled to be held in ten major cities across the country, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Hangzhou.
Ten side events also took place during the meeting, including the first promotion meeting of Hunan's top agricultural brands, a public voting for Hunan's top agricultural brands, interviews with renowned agricultural goods companies, a forum on agricultural development around Donting Lake, and the election of leading figures of the construction of Hunan's agricultural brands.
Entrants hailed from Hunan-based breeding units (including farmer specialized cooperatives) and agricultural products processing manufacturers (all sorts of processed food, healthy care products, condiments and necessities).
The entrants compete in sectors such as cereals, oils and oilseeds, lactose and honey, meat and eggs, tea, seafood, fruits and vegetables and edible fungi, forest products, wine and beverage, bio-products and health care foods.
