Non-public sector in Hunan enjoys stable development

The added-value of the non-public sector in Hunan province's economy hit 739.44 billion yuan from January to September 2011, a year-on-year increase of 19.4 percent.

This is slightly higher than the growth rate in the first half of this year. The taxes paid by the non-public economy reached 63.5 billion yuan, a growth of 22.7 percent, equal to that in the first half of the year.

According to Huang Donghong, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Hunan Economic and Information Technology Commission, during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period (2011-2015), the added value of non-public economy should see an average annual growth of over 14 percent.

By 2015, the total number of added value is expected to soar to 1.7 trillion yuan, accounting for over 60 percent of the GDP in the province.

The annual number of newly established enterprises will reach 14,000 and more than 500 private industrial enterprises can acquire over 100 million yuan in sales revenue. The taxes paid by non-public sector will usher in an average annual growth of over 20 percent.

Moreover, the number of employees in secondary and tertiary industries is anticipated to grow by 3.5 percent every year.
