Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education on Smart Power Grids
As one of the important research and experimental bases of China's electrical engineering area, Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education on Smart Power Grids relies on the the national key discipline construction of Tianjin University's power system and automation. It originated from the 1950s’ power system dynamic simulation laboratory of Tianjin University. Through half a century’s construction, the laboratory has developed from a single power system dynamic simulation laboratory to a comprehensive laboratory for the transmission, variation, equipment, use and input of smart grid. During the “Twelfth Five-year Plan” period, the construction funds has surpassed the energy storage system lab, integrated energy system simulation and monitoring laboratory, the micro grid lab, DC power distribution system lab, power system dynamic simulation laboratory, fuel cell system lab, power system protection and control laboratory, laboratory of high voltage technology, smart electricity laboratory and so on under the key laboratory.
