Achievements in Power distribution networks

With over 20 years experience in power distribution networks, Tianjin university has developed China's first Assistant Deciding System for Planning and Design and its first Integrated Technology Evaluation System, which have led to significant progress for China's large-scale distribution network construction, transformation and reliability. The advances won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Awards (2004, 2010, 2016), and the second prize for National Technology Invention (2012)

Among the first micro-grid researchers in China, Tianjin University has undertaken 973 National Projects as the chief scientist unit (2009-2012). Its micro-grid systems in simulation analysis, planning and design and operation control have been applied internationally in Japan, Africa and other areas.
