Entrepreneurial program promotes startups in Xi'an
The final round of the Xi'an stop to select candidates for Pioneering Heroes Converging, a nationwide TV program on innovation and entrepreneurship, was held on Wednesday at the Innovation Design Center of Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.

The program was organized by CCTV Business Channel and the Xi'an Municipal People's Government and sponsored by the Xi'an Science and Technology Bureau, the Western Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base Alliance, the Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology and the Xi'an Beilin District People's Government.
With the aim of "supporting entrepreneurship and stimulating innovation", the program is a large-scale open course of entrepreneurship for young people launched by the CCTV Business Channel on December 26, 2014.
By the end of April 2019, 617 entrepreneurs went onstage at the program, of whom 484 succeeded in gathering on-site financing in a cumulative amount of about 2.64 billion yuan.

The program garnered a lot of attention from entrepreneurs in Xi'an and throughout Shaanxi province after it was launched in late April, attracting more than 2,000 projects.
Finally, 20 projects were selected for the finals after evolutions of their economic and social value, entrepreneurship stories, image quality and expressiveness, and team building.
They involve civil-military integration, artificial intelligence, cultural creativity and other fields, and are in accord with the newly emerging industry areas that the state has focused on to support development and highly compatible with the industrial advantages of Xi’an.
The selection in Xi'an will further stimulate the upsurge of innovation and entrepreneurship in the city so that young people with dreams, responsibilities and abilities can have a broader platform and more brilliant entrepreneurial lives.
