Murdoch's daughter to marry British descendant of Sigmund Freud

The daughter of global media baron Rupert Murdoch is to marry Matthew Freud, a British public relations executive and great-grandson of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, it was announced Thursday.

Elisabeth Murdoch and Freud already have a six-month-old daughter together, as well as two children each from previous marriages.

They announced their forthcoming marriage in the Rupert Murdoch's Times newspaper, where all Britain's society matches are recorded.

Elisabeth Murdoch, 32, was director of non-sports programming at her father's BSkyB satellite broadcaster, but left last year to set up her own television company.

She was once named as one of Britain's highest profile businesswomen in a survey.
