Shanghai Huaneng Group Company will join with Shanghai Shipping (Group) Company to set up Shanghai Times Shipping Co Ltd in Pudong with a registered capital of 50 million yuan (US$6 million). Each shares half of the investment. The new company, with five big freighters, aims to develop the coal transportation business, said Li Kelin, president of Shanghai Shipping Company.
