Petroleum meeting

The first World Petroleum Congress (WPC) Asia Region Meeting will be convened in Shanghai in September. At the same time, the Shanghai International Petroleum and Petrochemical Exhibition 2001 will also be held. The meeting is proposed by the Chinese National Committee for the WPC, which hopes to enhance exchanges and co-operation between China and other Asian countries in the petroleum industry. This international petroleum meeting, which China will host before its entry into the WTO, is expecting 500 participants from the WPC's member countries in Asia.
